Obituary

Joseph W. Moore of McConnelsville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 23, 2022 at the age of 51. He was born March 21, 1971 in New York and moved to Cumberland, Ohio at a young age with his family. Joe’s parents were Dan and Karen (Pike) Moore.

Joe was a life-long trucker, joining a tradition begun by his father and continued by his two brothers. He was known for his love of BBQ and judging KCBS competitions in Ohio and surrounding states. He was a car enthusiast and belonged to the C-10 club of Ohio.

Surviving are his wife Kelley (Hooper) Moore, a brother Shaun Moore (Kellie) of Kimbolton, half- brother Randall Bessette (Bonnie) of Massachusetts, parents-in-law Roger and Becky Hooper of McConnelsville, a brother-in-law Matt (Ali) Hooper of Marysville, a nephew Danny Moore of Massachusetts, two nephews and two nieces from Marysville, and his best buddy Louie who he loved taking on rides and treating to a burger at McDonalds.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Karen Moore and older brother Paul, all of Cumberland.

His wishes were to be cremated, and a celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later time.
