Kathy Sue Hager 73 , of Stockport, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at her home peacefully with her family at her side. Kathy was a resident of Morgan County and a graduate of Morgan High School in 1969. Following graduation she worked briefly at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville there after finishing her career in dictation at Selby General Hospital in Marietta where she was accredited for her dedication and professionalism. The most important thing to her was her family and friends. Kathy was a caring and compassionate person. Her home in Stockport was an open door where everyone was welcome and made to feel at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lilly Teter; a niece, Melissa Anne Teter, both formerly of Stockport. She is survived by her son, Matthew (Sarah) Hager; grandchildren, Isaac (Justine) Hager, Samuel, Julian , and Lucas Hager; brother, John Teter; sisters, Mary Kaye and Jodi Teter; nieces, Jessica Teter (Briley West) and Amanda Teter; and a great niece, Destiny Holbert. Kathy leaves behind many special family and friends. In 1978 Kathy fostered a daughter, Christina Peterson (Osborne) who lives in Newark with her husband, Sean and their four children. A graveside service will be held at 1 :00p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025 at Stockport Cemetery. There will be a gathering following the service at the Heck Harkins building. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with arrangements.
