Kyle J. “ Kip” Myers, age 75, passed away on April 9,2026, at Highland Oaks Health Center with his loving sister, Lynn by his side.
He was a 1969 graduate of Morgan High School and attended Ohio University in Zanesville. He was employed by The Village of McConnelsville as a clerk for several years and then by the City of Columbus Police Department, where he worked in the records division until his retirement .
He is survived by his sister, Lynn Myers Smith (Ralph); sister-in-law, Karen Myers; nephews, Kyle B.Myers (Jenn), Jason Myers, Patrick Smith (Lesa), Bob Smith (Shellie); nieces, Lisa Myers and Karin (Kory) Brendsel; great-nieces and great-nephews, India, Jack, Madison, Noah, Aly, Tanner, Kolton, Knox, Marley and Grady, Tate and Parker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle W. and Elaine Myers; and a brother, Tony Myers.
Per his wishes, a caring cremation will take place and burial in Black Oak Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2026 at The Church of the Gospel Ministry in McConnelsville with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church or Paws 4 A Cause at Citizens National Bank McConnelsville as well as via Venmo.
