Larry L. Duffy, 83, of Corning passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his home. He was born October 21, 1940 in New Lexington a son of the late, Leo F. Duffy and Bertha Kaimberg Duffy. Larry was retired from the Central Ohio Coal Company where he had worked for 30 years. He was a member of the Zion Christian Union Church and the United Mine Workers of America. Larry enjoyed attending auctions, woodworking, and collecting cast iron skillets. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Connie Sims Duffy; three sons, Michael (Melanie) Duffy of Hanover, Larry Christopher Duffy and Molly Hoffman of Dublin, Brian (Kelly) Duffy of Hemlock; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Molly Martin and Karen Blanchard. Calling hours will be Monday, December 4, 2023 from 12-2 p.m. at the Zion Christian Union Church in Portersville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the church and Larry will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
