Obituary

Leona Mae Lett 93, of McConnelsville passed away peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 2, 2023  at Riverside Landing in McConnelsville surrounded by her family. Leona was born Jan 12, 1930 in Amesville  to Chloris and Elliott Mayle. She graduated from  M&M High School in 1948. She was a homemaker and was employed at Buckeye Supply Co. in Zanesville later in life. She was an excellent cook and baker. Leona is survived by her children, David (Bonnie) Lett, Danny (Becky) Lett, Douglas Lett all of Zanesville, Denise Bryant of Westerville, Ohio and Darla Lett of South Dakota; her brother, Harold Gibson of Malta; sister, Evelyn Jenkins of Malta; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and step father, Oliver Gibson, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles H. Lett; brothers, Leroy Mayle, Donald Mayle, Oran Mayle, Robert Mayle, Herman Gibson, and Dennis Gibson; and one grandchild, Bryan Lett. Friends may call  12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. with Timothy Mayle officiating.  Leona will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery beside her husband.
