Margaret Fuller Hardesty of McConnelsville, passed away on October 24, 2023 at the age of 104. She went to be with the Lord while peacefully resting at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 6, 1919 in Union Township, Morgan County to the late Otis Fuller and Ollie Clements Fuller. Margaret graduated from Ringgold High School, then attended Bliss College, Columbus Ohio. In 1942 she returned to McConnelsville and was employed as Deputy Clerk of Court and later Malta National Bank. She married her wonderful husband, R. Galen Hardesty on February 16, 1947. After 59 wonderful years of marriage, Galen passed away on June 8, 2006. Margaret was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Valley Chapter # 19 Eastern Star, Neelyville Grange, Morgan County Farm Bureau and Bristol Missionary. She is survived by three daughters, Janet (John) Wilson, Donna (Mike) Chitti, Brenda (Dick) Dalrymple; and one son, Ron Hardesty; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband passing, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Ray and her infant twin, Christine, Eleanor Heil; and a brother, Robert L Fuller; a sister-in-law; and three brothers-in-law. Calling hours will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 1-3 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m.with Pastor Phil King officiating. Margaret will be laid to rest beside her husband, Galen in McConnelsville Cemetery.
