Marion A. Marshall 85, of Malta passed away at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born September 14, 1935 in Wisconsin the son of the late, Bert Marshall and Dorothy Hewuse Marshall. He worked for 22 years for the U.S. Navy and worked for the Morgan County Sheriff’s office as a deputy Under Paul Work and Jack Nelson. He also worked at ITT Higbie Manufacturing in New Lexington. Life member of the Grand Lodge of Scotland and Omar Shrine Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. Of Charleston, SC. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Wise Marshall whom he married July 17, 1957; Children, Susan (Brian) Bowman of Malta, Esther (Tim) Page of Roseville, John (Shelly) Marshall of Malta; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters, Kate, Marcella, Sherry, Judy, and Dorothy; a brother, Larry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi Marshall Mayle; sisters, Jo Ann and Shirley; brother, Richard. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday with Charlie Mollahan officiating. He will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery at Portersville with military rites by the American Legion Post 24 honor guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MOCO Team Blue.
