Mary Dingey Obituary

Mary C. Dingey, 83 of McConnelsville passed away at 5:35 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2024 at her home.  She was born June 29, 1941 in Morgan County the daughter of the late, Thomas Cory and Ruth Jones Cory. Mary worked at Mark Rest Center for 25 years, she was a farmer, homemaker, worked at Apperson Plumbing. She was a member of the Meigs Church of Christ, Malta VFW Auxiliary, Morgan County Senior Citizens, Morgan County Farmers Market, retired Tupperware Lady, volunteered at the Morgan United Methodist Ministries, loved to bake and give her baked goods away, avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan, she loved to fish and make aprons. She is survived by her children, Becky (Bruce) Thompson, Allen (Jane) Dingey, Kenny (Kim) Dingey, and Jacqueline Dingey; grandchildren, Carlos (Megan) Thompson, Benjamin Thompson, Derek (Kendra) Dingey, Danny (Heather) Dingey, Cory (Doris) Dingey, Cody (MIssy) Dingey, Cassie (Mike) Fluharty,  Austin and Matthew Dooley; several great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Gardner, Sandy Maxwell, and Beth (Chuck) Guinn;  three sisters in law, Belva Dingey, Betty Dingey and Ann Arebalo; and faithful dog, Dixie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray F. Dingey who died May 3, 2017; one sister, Jane Veyon. Calling hours will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Miller-HUck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Meigs Church of Christ with Curt Cable officiating. Mary will be laid to rest in Bristol Cemetery beside her husband.
