Mary F. Long, 94 of McConnelsville, passed away peacefully at 12:23 a.m. April 22, 2021 at her son’s home in McConnelsville. She was born January 20, 1927 in Orlando, Florida the daughter of the late Newton Lingo and Minnie Quilling. She worked with her husband at Long’s Jewelry Store in McConnelsville. She attended Grace United Methodist Church in McConnelsville, former member of the Eastern Star in McConnelsville, and she was a seamstress for local clothing stores and people for many years in McConnelsville. She is survived by a son, Rick (Janet) Long of McConnelsville; five grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leighton Long; son, Barry Long; grandson, Dustin Long; daughter in law, Susie Long; sisters, Helen Hicks, Gladys Phelps, Leola Burkett, and infant sister Lois; brothers, Gene Lingo and Walter Lingo. Friends may call 12 to 2 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Matt Workman officiating. She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery beside her husband. Memorial contributions may be made to M&M Fire Dept. 77 S. 4th Street McConnelsville, Ohio 43756.
