Mary M. (Greuey) Whitehouse

Mary M. Greuey Whitehouse, 86, of McConnelsville passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Highland Oaks Health Center. She was born April 26, 1934 in Morgan County to the late Alex Greuey and Lettie Munn Greuey. Mary was a graduate of M. & M. High School and was the former owner of Whitehouse Insurance Agency of McConnelsville. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a 4-H advisor for many years. Mary was also an avid O.S.U. football fan and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She is survived by a daughter, Kim (Mike) Hanson of McConnelsville;  a son, Brent Whitehouse of McConnelsville; three grandchildren; Jeremy Foster of McConnelsville, Cheyenne Hanson of Wadsworth, and Colton Hanson of McConnelsville. Also surviving are two special nieces, Susie Chandler and Tammy Demster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Whitehouse; two sisters, Lorena Masterson and Waunetta Eikleberry;  eight brothers, Floyd, Jack, Wilson, Tom, Lester, Leonard, Pete and Ted Greuey. A private graveside service was held and she was laid to rest beside her husband James in McConnelsville Cemetery. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or the M. & M. Fire Dept. E.M.S.
