Mary Ann Hochstetler Yoder, 87, of Malta, OH passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her home. She was born September 16, 1933, in Nappanee, Indiana to the late Samuel and Emma (Yoder) Hochstetler. She was a member of Providence Mennonite Fellowship, Auburn, KY, and for the past nine years a charter member of Ebenezer Amish Mennonite Church, Malta, OH. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, upholstery, sewing, and making quilts. She was married on April 21,1955 to the late Alfred J. Yoder. She is survived by her children; LaVerne (Mary) Yoder of Malta, OH; Jim (Naomi) Yoder of Columbia, NC; daughter-in-law Christina (Samuel) Yoder of Hiddenite, NC; Leon (Anita) Yoder of Quenemo, KS; Joyce (Ken) Yutzy and Grace Yoder, both of Hutchinson, KS; and an adopted son Anthony McCormick. Also surviving are twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-nine great- grandchildren, her brother Dan (Amanda) Hochstetler of Middlefield, OH; sisters; Alma Byler of Hermitage, PA; Esther Hostetler of Middlefield, OH; brother-in-law Eli Byler of Wautoma, WI; several step-brothers and step-sisters. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, son Samuel Yoder, grandson Carlan Yoder, brother Harley Hochstetler, sister Laura Byler, sisters-in-law Susanna Hochstetler and Mary Ann Hochstetler, and brother-in-law Dan Hochstetler. Calling hours will be Friday, October 2, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Ebenezer Amish- Mennonite Church. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10 a.m. at the church with Jonas Beiler officiating. Burial is to be Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Providence Mennonite Fellowship Cemetery, Auburn, KY, with David Yoder, Jr. officiating. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
