Mary Lou Eppley Obituary

Mary Lou Eppley went to be with Jesus Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 8:03 a.m. with her family surrounding her. She was born March 11, 1931 at Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio to Ellis R. and Lois B. (Jenkins) Miller. On August 14, 1948 she married her sweetheart, Wayne Eppley. She grew up on a farm in Meigs Twp. in Muskingum County and attended Meigs School. Her parents taught her how to work in the house and outside at an early age. Wayne and she were usually together doing all sorts of farm projects in their 70 years of marriage. She was a lifelong active member of Solomon Lutheran Church on Dutch Hill of Morgan County. Mary Lou enjoyed her church, family, farming, gardening, canning and sewing. One of her special talents was cooking meals for her large extended family. She is  survived by her children; Marjorie (Ronald) Moore, George (Kay) Eppley, Jim (Lorna) Eppley all of McCconnelsville and Joyce Campbell of Malta. She had 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Her siblings are, Carolyn (the late Malin) Walsh of Newark, Elizabeth (the late Roger) Inman and Carl (Sharon) Miller of Newark. She also had several nieces and  nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne L. Eppley of 70 years and son-in-law, Steve Campbell. The family will receive friends at Solomon Lutheran Church, St. Rt. 669 on Friday, April 22,2022 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Matt Workman officiating. Mary Lou will be laid to rest beside her husband, Wayne at the Eppley Cemetery by Solomon Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be to Shrivers Hospice. The family expresses their sincere thanks to the staff of Shrivers Hospice for their caring and loving support. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
