Melvin J. Miller 87, of McConnelsville passed away April 30, 2023 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born August 31, 1935 in Stark County the son of the late, Joseph M. Miller and Lydia Kurtz Miller. He was a farmer and a contractor and a past member of the Ebenezer Mennonite Church. He is survived by four sons, James M. (Rose) Miller of Minerva, Ohio, Timothy Miller of McConnelsville, Thomas (Bonita) Miller of McConnelsville and Marcus Miller of McConnelsville; 26 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; sisters, Verna, and Emma Miller; brothers, Benjamin Miller and John Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Miller; son, Gerald Miller; daughter in law, Edith Miller; sisters, Elsie Copeland, Betty Miller; and brothers, Atlee Miller, Joseph Miller, Dan Miller, Jacob Miller. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023at the Ebenezer Mennonite Church in Malta where service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday with John Miller officiating.
