Phyllis A. Strode

Phyllis A. Strode, 82, of Malta passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born April 29, 1938 in Morgan County to the late Kenneth Cumberledge and Kenyon Best. Phyllis was a homemaker and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in McConnelsville. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard L. Strode; a daughter, Pennie (James) Roth of Marion, OH; a son, Richard Jr. (Debbie) Strode of Malta; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Bruce Cumberledge of Malta; three half sisters, Nancy Mercer, Susan Woodward, and Bonnie Ruder; two half brothers, David Bone and Daniel Bone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three step sisters. Calling hours will be Friday, December 4, 2020 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Barton officiating. Phyllis will be laid to rest in Wiseman Cemetery.
