Richard Pollock 76, of Stockport, passed away at 9:02 a.m. March 9, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born December 7, 1943 in Brandon, Ohio the son of the late Shaffer Pollock and Melina Seavolt Pollock. He worked at Miba Bearings for 30 years, was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville, served in the U.S. Army, loved to fish and watch NASCAR, and enjoyed being with his family. He is survived by his wife, Julia A. Konkler Pollock whom he married September 26, 1965; four daughters, Lynn (Brian) Ford of Lowell, Brenda Hatfield of Marietta, Melissa (Brad) Britton of Cutler and Wendy (Chris) Pollock of Canadaigua, New York; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Bessie Beck of Stockport; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Allen Pollock; son in law, Daren Hatfield; infant great grandson, Jensen; two brothers, Tom and James Pollock. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday. He will be laid to rest in Stockport Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post 24 Firing Squad. Memorial contributions may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Childhood Cancer Unit.
