Robert E. Finley

In loving memory of Robert Eugene Finley, born on February 28, 1937, who departed this earth on May 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Bruce and Bill Finley, . Robert's legacy lives on through his four children: Robert Finley, Crystal Koster, Ronda Sommers, and Jon Finley, and many grandchildren ad great grandchildren.  He is survived by his sister,  Betty Dingy.

Robert's life was a tapestry woven with diverse passions and experiences. Canoeing was more than a pastime; it was a journey of exploration, where he found peace on the waters. His artistic soul found expression through black and white sketches. Education was paramount to Robert, graduating from M&M High School and later pursuing studies at Johnson Bible College.  But his primary passion was Biblical studies and sharing his faith.

Professionally, Robert's career path reflected his multifaceted interests. From his days as a surveyor for Ohio Power Company to his service as a draftsman for the Montana Highway Department, he approached each task with dedication and precision. Beyond his professional endeavors, Bob was left an indelible mark as a kind-hearted researcher, friend, and father.

He is survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Vernon Eldredge officiating. Bob will be laid to rest in the Wolf Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Church of Christ. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
