Robert “Bob” Arthur Smith

Robert "Bob" Arthur Smith, 89, of McConnelsville left this world on June 12, 2020. Bob was born on the family farm, November 14, 1930. He married Beverly Jean Woods Smith in 1959, they were married for 60 years. Bob was South Eastern Ohio Champion Calf roper in his younger days. He spent his life as a dairy farmer on the family farm. Bob was the son of Harold Curtis and  Daisy Marie Bankes Smith. He is survived by his children Kim Yvonne Smith, Curtis (Joyce) Smith, and Diana (Tony)  Maxwell. His grandchildren Kelly (Anurag) Kulkarni, Dalton Smith, Sef Smith, and Rhys Smith. He is also survived by his sisters Wanda Thompson, Bea Harrison, and Kay Moellenkamp, and James Crowley who he considered family.  Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean, brothers; Harold Junior Smith, Edward Smith and sister, Hope Richardson. A private graveside was held on Monday, June 15, 2020 with Keith Malone officiating. He was laid to rest beside his wife Jean in Lemon Hill Cemetery.
