Ronald L. Samples, 80, of McConnelsville passed away January 17, 2026 at his home. He was born December 15, 1945 in Strange Creek, W.V., a son of the late Lanty Samples and Voilet Hall Samples. Ronald was retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy and also worked at Cooper Standard Automotive and was a carpenter. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post # 24 and the V.F.W. Post # 4713. He is survived by a daughter, Pam Burnside Bohn of Daytona, Fl.; two sons, Rick Burnside of Malta and Randall Burnside of McConnelsville; three sisters, Lorena Hall, Denise Lemon (Roy), Lisa Ware (Rusty); three brothers, Charles Samples (Joyce), Mitchell Samples (Donna) and Keith Samples (Sue). Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes McKee Samples; a daughter, Linda Goslin; and two brothers, David and Nolan Samples. Calling hours will be Friday, January 23, 2026 from 12-1 p.m., at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., and Ronald will be laid to rest with military honors in the Malta Cemetery.
