Roy Lee Williams

Roy Lee Williams, 86, of Malta, formerly of Lovington, New Mexico passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at his home. He was born June 24, 1935 in Bokhoma, Oklahoma a son of the late, Clyde Williams and Evelene Lynch Williams. Roy was a retired driller and was the former owner of Williams Brothers Drilling Com. of Lovington, New Mexico. He is survived by a daughter, Myra Lynn Beers; two sons, Clyde Williams (Margaret) and John Lee Williams; thirteen grandchildren, Josh Godbey, Denise (Brian) Sartain, Sara Evans, John Edwards (Amanda), Carl Dean Williams (Tania), Wendy Moffitt (Christopher), Mary Ann Leeper (Gary), Amanda (Bub) Greer, Angie Thomas, Deidra Thomas, Brianna Young, Brandi West ( Aken), and Nicole (Jonathan)  Adams. Also surviving are 33 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Janis Simmons, Nora Ann Williams-Trujillo, Donna Elaine Sanders; and 2 brothers, Perry Williams and C. W. Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Deana  Williams; a daughter, Debra Williams Edwards; a son, Marshall Williams; a sister, Kathalene Cope; and a brother, Calvin Dean Williams.  At Roy's request, a caring cremation will take place.
