Sampson “Mark” Maxwell

Sampson “Mark” Maxwell, 69, of McConnelsville passed away at 7:45pm on July 7, 2024 at his home. The Morgan County native, who retired from Miba, enjoyed visiting with family and friends as well as spending time on the family farm.
He was the son of the late Dean and Anna Maxwell and was preceded in death by his sister Delilah Johnson and brothers Bob and Timothy Maxwell.
Visitation will be held on July 12 from 12-2 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home and will be followed by a funeral at 2:30pm. He will be laid to rest at Deerfield Cemetery.
Mark is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Maxwell, and his daughter Samantha Maxwell.
Other survivors include his aunt, Twyla Townsend; sisters, Becky Dilly and husband Lee and Susie Gibbs; brothers, Fred Maxwell and wife Marcie, Tony Maxwell and wife Diana and Claude Maxwell and wife Heidi; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and countless close family friends.
