Sharon Sue Semon 83, of Malta passed away peacefully at 2:12 p.m. March 11, 2026 at her home. She was born October 5, 1942 in McConnelsville the daughter of the late Delbert Roberts and Helen Fox. She is survived by her husband Carl, whom she married December 30, 1960; son, Craig William (Jennifer); daughter, Kristin Arlene; grandchildren, Cassandra Semon (Danny) and Jacob Semon; siblings, Shirley Roberts, Sandy Welch (Jim), Jerry Roberts (Nancy), and Linda Stegner (Rodney). Sharon loved to travel. While we were in the Service she had to travel from the states to Okinawa with Kristin by herself in 1964 and also had to return by herself in 1966 when the entire 388 wing moved to Korat, Thailand in the fall of 1966. In 1967 we were at Wichita, Kansas, then Goldsboro, North Carolina until in 1971 we went to the Philippines and returned in 1974 to Idaho until retirement in 1977. While in the Philippines, Sharon enjoyed local travel and a week long trip to Taipei, Taiwan. While in Delaware she attended 40 Award ceremonies and attended 20 military balls which were part of Carl’s duties as the NCO for the OH-12th AFJROTC unit at Hayes High School. After retirement we traveled on many bus trips and the trip to Cape Cod and the trip to Canada were the most enjoyable for her. She loved the trips to Branson, MO. She was a member of the Meigs Church of Christ. Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Meigs Church of Christ with Curt Cable officiating. She will be laid to rest in Meigs Cemetery.
