Shelba J. Garrett 86, of Malta passed away at 10:46 a.m. June 21, 2023 at her home. She was born September 15, 1936 in Morgan County the daughter of the late, Delmar Niceswanger and Lucy Miller Niceswanger. She was a member of the Solomon Lutheran Church near Eagleport. She is survived by her children, Steven Garrett, Tina (Tony) Bateson, Vaughn (Kimberly) Garrett and Tarua (Stephen) McCoy; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Stewart and Mary Bodie; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Garrett who died March 13, 2014; brothers, Walter, Jerry, Joe, Carl and John Niceswanger; and a sister, Eva Mae Clifton. Friends may call 11 :00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023at Solomon Lutheran Church where services will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Dutch Hill Cemetery. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with arrangements.
