Shirley (Hylton) Gibson

Shirley Gibson, 86, of Malta passed away August 16, 2025 at her home. She was born March 26, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio a daughter of the late Grey Hylton and Alvera Belle Cupp. Shirley had worked as a nurse's aid and caregiver for many years. She was a member of the Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church  and loved her church family. Shirley is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Coffee of Zanesville and Connie Neely of  Thornville; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Gibson; a daughter, Dorothy "Dottie" Longfellow;  and a son, Richard McClain. At her request,  no services will be held and cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church.  Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
