Obituary

Shirley A. McKee Schumacher 88, of Zanesville , passed away at 11:37 p.m. July 23, 2023 at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville. She was born June 5, 1935 in Columbus the daughter of the late Ralph Spillman and Louella Herron. She was a clerk at Zanesville Glass for 20 years  and attended the First Presbyterian Church in McConnelsville, received her 50 year pin from Reinersville Eastern Star, was a skydiver, and a member of the Coffeemate Camping Club. She is survived by her children, Kathryn Whetzel, Steven McKee, and Susan Newton; two step children, Craig Schumacher and Kristy Mell; two grandchildren; and eight  great grandchildren; sister, Edith Shuster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn McKee, second husband, Paul Schumacher;  sister, Margaret Lentz; three grandchildren, Lisa Newton, Tyler McKee, and Michelle McKee. Calling hours will be held Monday, July 31,  from 11 :00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, with service to follow at 1:00. She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Abbott Home of Zanesville. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.miller huck.com.
