Obituary
Veldine M. Reed Davis 95, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at the Pickering House in Lancaster at 7:20 p.m. on August 18, 2023. She was born Jan. 5, 1928 in Belpre the daughter of the late, Jennie and Albert Frances. She was a member of the San Toy Holliness Chapel in San Toy and was a Headstart Teacher in Homer Union School. She is survived by her children, Edith Fracker, Connie Justice, Mark Reed, Albert Reed,Rose Hensler, and David Reed; 79 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and 18 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Reed on June 30, 1969; children, Thomas Reed, Sheldon Reed, and Cheryl Reed; two grandchildren, Martha and Leon Reed; four brothers and four sisters. Calling hours will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2023 at Zion Christian Union Church in Portersville, Ohio where services will be held at 3 :00 p.m. with Monty Hurst officiating. She will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery beside her husband. Memorial contributions may be made to Pickering House Hospice 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
