Vicki Sue (Wells) Gorrell

Vicki Sue Gorrell, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 1/7/2026 at 5:54 AM in her home surrounded by her cherished family.  

Born June 12, 1953, Vicki grew up in Pennsville, Ohio. She graduated with honors from Muskingum Area Technical College with an associate degree in Accounting. She launched and managed a Tom Petty facebook fan page that has grown to over 23K followers. The kindness and generosity she demonstrated in all things were rivaled only by her level of resolve. She epitomized resilience in all her days on earth and always chose to do what was right in lieu of what was easy. To know her was to love her. 

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Harold Wilbur Wells, mother, Ida Louise Wells, brother, Jerry Roger Wells, husband, Larry Elden Gorrell, and infant son Craig Justin Gorrell. Vicki is survived by her children, Will (Wendy) Gorrell of McConnelsville, Troy Gorrell of Pennsville, Angie (Steve) Roberts of Malta, and Chris (Cara) Gorrell of McConnelsville, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

At Vicki’s request, no services will be held and a caring cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Church of Christ (whose members she treasured and considered her extended family).
