William E. Garrett 85, of McConnelsville passed away at 4:36 a.m. January 8, 2021 at his home. He was born July 15, 1935 in Morgan County the son of the late, William H. Garrett and Erma Rhinbarger Garrett. He retired from Gould Battery in Zanesville after 36 years. He was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church near Eagleport and enjoyed camping and being outdoors and could build or repair anything. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Junita Burtnett Garrett; two daughters, Diane L. Ridenour of McConnelsville and Debra K. Boghossian of London, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kelly (Lonny) Breen, Natalie Kehl, John Boghossian, and Jamie (Jeremy) Woodall; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Eldora Campbell of Georgia; and a brother, Darrell L (Linda) Garrett of Duncan Falls; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ermina McElroy. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 at Dutch Hill Cemetery with Rick Snyder officiating. MIller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with arrangements.
