Alma J. Spencer 84, of Athens, passed away at 9:38 p.m. December 3, 2016 at the Laurels Of Athens. She was born April 27, 1932 in Woodland, California the daughter of the late Joseph Muck and Alma Prewett Muck. She was retired from Cooper Standard in New Lexington and worked at Riverside Care Center in McConnelsville. She is survived by a daughter, Roberta Bobby Nelson of Guysville, sons Kenney and Darla McCormick of Crooksville, and Randy Racine of Blue Rock;  grandchildren Shaela and Charlie Schoonover, Charles Lovingshimer, Garth McCormick and Kenneth McCormick Jr.; great grandchildren Sarah, Michaela, and Erica; sisters, Mary Lee Hopper and Sonja, and the laurel ladies at the Laurels Of Athens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Forgrave, Carl Sullivan, and Edgar Spencer;  sisters, Elizabeth Muck and Nancy, brothers Ronald, Jerry, Jackie and William Muck. The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at the Laurels for their excellent care given to her while she was there. At her request she will be cremated and her ashes will be buried at a later date in McConnelsville Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held in Athens at a later date.
