Robert A. Lacy

Robert A. Lacy, 69, of McConnelsville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Highland Oaks Health Center after a long and courageous battle with Melanoma cancer. Born in Zanesville, Ohio to Robert and Constance Lacy, he lived most of his life in Morgan County. 
Robert was a wonderful man, always wanting to help others. He spent 42 years with AEP, retiring as a 
Lineman A in January 2012. Prior to his time at AEP, he spent six years in the US Navy. In his spare time he enjoyed being a member of the Lions Club, the American Legion, IBEW and St. James Catholic Church. He was an avid traveler, often vacationing with his family and friends. He was happiest on his Kubota tractor mowing the yard of the home he and his wife built together. 
Robert was a loving husband and father of two. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Paula (Rostek) Lacy and his daughters, Bridget Lacy of Akron, Ohio and Nicole Lacy of New York City, New York. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria O'Morrow and her husband, Charles O'Morrow of Charleston, South Carolina; his three sister-in-laws, Cynthia Monnett of West Jefferson, Ohio, Mary Ann Kimble of Zanesville, Ohio, and Michelle Hubbard and her husband, Jim Hubbard of Granville, Ohio, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. 
The family will receive guests on Sunday November 27, 2016 from 2-5pm at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home, 62 S. 7th St. McConnelsville, Ohio with funeral procession to Mt. Olive cemetery in Zanesville at 11am on Monday, November 28, 2016. Memorial donations can be made to The OSU James Cancer Center by mail in Bob's name to the OSUCCC - James at 660 Ackerman Road, 6th Fl. PO Box 183112 Columbus, Ohio 43218-3112.
 A wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday with Father Tim Kozak officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #24 Color Guard at the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.miller-huck.com
