Larry Ray Smith, 73, of McConnelsville passed away Friday, April 3, 2026 at his home. He was born May 12, 1952 in Zanesville a son of the late, Leo Smith and Florence Brown Smith. Larry graduated from Morgan High School in 1970 and joined the U. S. Army directly out of high school. He served until 1974. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt mushrooms and ginseng. Mary Lou Custer 88, of McConnelsville passed away at 6:05 a.m. March 28, 2026 at her home. She was born September 20, 1937 in Dillonvale, Ohio the daughter of the late, James Dlouhy and Louise Kaiser.  She is survived by one son, Jeffery Scott Custer of McConnelsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Custer; and a son, James Michael Custer; sister, Helen Burke.
